The BPJ offers reduced-price subscriptions to writing classes adopting it for course use in conjunction with the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses’ new Lit Mag Adoption Program. We’re enthusiastic about the program's potential to promote an active, engaged reading culture among young writers.
If you adopt the journal for your course, your students will get:
—a year’s subscription (4 issues) for $10. Two issues will arrive during the course of the semester. (You'll get a complimentary subscription.)
—a virtual meeting with the journal’s editors, John Rosenwald and Lee Sharkey. John and Lee have 59 years of experience with the BPJ between them to draw on in an open discussion of the journal’s editorial process, history, mission, and production, and of the current literary landscape.
—website features to complement the print issues, including a full-text, searchable sixty-year archive and a blog, the Poet’s Forum, where each month a poet with work in the current issue responds to readers’ comments.
To adopt the journal for a course, visit the CLMP Lit Mag Adoption Program website. Students will order their subscriptions through CLMP.
